The Philippines had a total of 226,682 establishments in the formal sector in 2014, slightly higher by 0.6 percent compared to 225,245 recorded establishments in 2013.

Based on the preliminary results of the 2014 Annual Survey of Philippine Business and Industry (ASPBI) conducted nationwide in 2015, there were 1,103 construction establishments with total employment (TE) of 20 and over in the formal sector of the economy.
